I love the way white tea is so delicious when blended with herbs and fruits. One of my favorite blends is Butterscotch which is a cup of bliss after a stressful day. Another favorite is Blueberry White which I always have in my purse for when we go out to eat. I always take tea with me when we go on family vacations and Harney & Sons Royal Wedding Tea is a huge favorite.
There is much debate about the caffeine levels of white tea. It used to be considered a fact that white tea had the least amount of caffeine of all of the teas. However, that is now being disproven as some white teas were rated as being higher than some blacks in a few cases. The bottom line is if caffeine is an issue for you then be mindful that white tea is not caffeine free.
Also, if you have heard the old wives tale about decaffeinating a cup of tea by steeping a cup and then throwing it out and resteeping and drinking the next cup...well it is a lovely story but has yet to be proven.
